The Regional Meeting on Climate Change and Gender Equality will be held virtually through various sessions throughout the month of September 2021. These sessions will showcase experiences, good practices, challenges and opportunities for integrating gender equality into climate action in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) and the roadmap of the Gender Action Plan 1 (GAP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
The event is organized by the government of Chile, in its capacity as COP25 Presidency through its Ministries of Environment, Foreign Affairs, Women and Gender Equality, and is developed thanks to the support of the European Union, through its EUROCLIMA+ Program and the technical support of ECLAC as key strategic partners in climate action and to connect the dots between the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. The project also has the collaboration of the EUROSOCIAL+ Program, United Nations System in Chile, and the financial contribution of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

The Regional Meeting on Climate Change and Gender Equality will be held virtually through various sessions throughout the month of September 2021. This session is titled: Climate Governance with Gender Perspective: Creating Capabilities and Institutional Arrangements.
The EUROCLIMA+ Programme will hold this event in the framework of the Sixty-sixth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW66) which will take place from 14 to 25 March 2022 in New York City, United States.
Históricamente, el sector de transporte ha sido dominado por hombres. A través de la incorporación de mujeres, las ciudades están construyendo una movilidad con perspectiva de género. En esta sexta sesión de webinars de la Red Mujeres en Movimiento se comparten las evidencias de iniciativas implementadas, sus procesos, barreras y resultados.
El evento tiene como objetivo compartir una guía sobre los elementos de género claves para los países que están a) actualizando sus NDC, b) diseñando nuevas políticas climáticas y/o c) desarrollando estrategias sectoriales para responder a los impactos climáticos. Para ello, el evento se centrará en resaltar los esfuerzos realizados en la región, identificar lecciones aprendidas, y analizar las buenas prácticas identificadas por los diferentes países en la región.
En este segundo encuentro de la serie de Webinars impulsado por la Red Mujeres en Movimiento vamos a discutir los patrones de movilidad de las mujeres, su experiencia en el sistema de movilidad y cómo lograr mayor inclusión en las ciudades latinoamericanas.
