The Humboldt Foundation is offering 20 fellowships for young climate experts from transition and developing countries interested in conducting a project in the field of climate protection in Germany.

The National Council for Climate Change and the Clean Development Mechanism (CNCCMD) and the National Institute of Education and Training of Teachers (INAFOCAM) invested on 1 November more than 400 teachers who completed the Programme of Education on Climate Change for Sustainable Development, designed by UNESCO, in the Jaragua Hotel.

On the occasion of its Third Regional Seminar, the EUROCLIMA programme organized on October 18 an optional field visit to the city of Liege to get to know first-hand the city´s strategy and actions on energy and climate change as part of the European initiative "Covenant of Mayors". 

Human influence on the climate system is clear. This is evident in most regions of the globe, a new assessment by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes.
