Disaster risk reduction and management sector: drought and floods

Resolution of January 15, 2019 which publishes the list of selected projects to access funding from the complementary allocation for the disaster risk reduction and management sector: drought and floods under EUROCLIMA+ programme framework

The European Commission, under the EUROCLIMA+ programme framework, approved (on April 30, 2018) an additional allocation to subsidise actions in Latin America for the “Disaster Risk Reduction and Management sector: drought and floods”.

In order to channel the additional funds, we invited eight institutions to submit the complete formulation of their proposals, which had obtained a high score in phase I of the concept note evaluations but had not been allocated funds under the initial resolution for the call to the sector mentioned above.

In accordance with the provisions of section 4.b) of the call to submit expressions of interest with a project pre-formulation for the disaster risk reduction sector under the EUROCLIMA+ programme framework, once the technical assessment of the projects formulated had been carried out by a joint evaluation committee (AECID and AFD with the participation of the European Commission as observer) and not having received objections from the members of the Sectorial Working Group (Focal Points of Chile, El Salvador and Venezuela), we then published the list of projects that would be financed through the implementing agencies with the additional funds allocated to the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management: droughts and floods sector.
