Objective:

Promote integrated disaster risk management in the development of Central American countries, from a cross-sectoral approach, and by increasing resilience and adaptive capacity, in order to reduce socio-economic and environmental vulnerability.

Beneficiaries:

Direct beneficiaries: National Meteorological Services, Ministries of Environment and Risk Management Entities, at national and local levels. Indirect beneficiaries: Municipalities selected by the countries to be strengthened in their GRD and GIRH capacities and supported where pilot projects on water harvesting are being implemented to address drought problems and risk management strengthening.
