Objective:

Implement the Drought Information System for Southern South America (SISSA). The availability of drought information, together with improvements in regional institutional capacities, planning and preparedness, and risk management governance, will contribute to reducing the considerable economic, social and environmental impacts of drought on agricultural production, hydropower generation, and river navigation in southern South America.
