RFP Virtual Seminar #9: Development of value chains for traditional foods from indigenous communities

The RFP component's webinar series addresses key issues for the agricultural sector and promotes the exchange of knowledge and best practices to strengthen individual, organisational and institutional competencies for managing NDC-related processes.

This event presents experiences from the Andean Altiplano and Central America, highlighting the successes and challenges associated with the production and commercialisation of traditional foods. Representatives from SWISSCONTACT, Bolivia and the Sotzil Foundation of Guatemala, share their lessons learned about necessary capacities and risks encountered in value chain development. Finally, the representative of the global project Post2020 Biodiversity Framework EU Support reported on the trends and characteristics that traditional products must meet in the European markets. The webinar series of the RFP component addresses key issues for the agricultural sector and promotes the exchange of knowledge and best practices to strengthen individual, organisational and institutional competencies for the management of NDC-related processes.
