Urban Waters in the Marquense Valley

The objective of this project is the protection, integrated and sustainable management of water in the urban centres of the municipalities of San Pedro Sacatepéquez, San Marcos, San Antonio Sacatepéquez, San Cristóbal Cucho and Esquipulas Palo Gordo in the department of San Marcos, Guatemala.

General:

Contribute to ensuring that women, men, girls, boys and future generations in the urban centres of San Pedro, San Marcos, San Antonio, San Cristóbal and Esquipulas Palo Gordo have sufficient, healthy, acceptable, physically accessible and affordable water for their personal and domestic use; in a financially, institutionally and environmentally sustainable manner.

Direct:

The project benefits the entire urban population of San Marcos, San Pedro, San Antonio, Esquipulas Palo Gordo and San Cristóbal: a total of 56,640 men and 61,360 women. 80% are of indigenous descent.
