MAP - PROJECT INTERVENTION AREAS

“We learned a lot by exchanging with the project, and we are going to replicate it in our lands. We will take advantage of the resources we have, and we will promote sustainability. We can have a decent life in harmony with the forest.”
Glenis Garrido – Higher Community Council of the Rural Organization of Alto Atrato, Colombia

“The project and its models contribute to the commitment governments of the region have with the Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDC). It strengthens organizations and farmers, and it develops abilities to adapt to climate change, but, above all, it generates new opportunities for communities.”
Marvin Centeno, Project Officer

RESULTS

EXCHANGE BETWEEN COUNTRIES

The exchange of information and experience was promoted so that indigenous organizations and communities in Colombia, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala can have forest management systems and develop businesses to take advantage of the resources in a sustainable way.
