Development of the National Climate Empowerment Strategy with a gender, intergenerational and HHRR approach, towards a low carbon and resilient society Panama

The action aims to structure and promote the ACE agenda as a lever to engage and empower the different actors in Panama in the challenge of addressing the fight against climate change in the country.

Value is placed on the mainstreaming of approaches such as Gender, Intercultural and Intergenerational, highlighting youth and indigenous communities as priority agents in the development of the strategy. 

This process will allow the identification and development of the vision, objectives and strategic guidelines for ACE Panama to 2050, guaranteeing, through a broad participatory process, the representativeness of the different stakeholders involved and identified.

Studies and diagnostics

Development of the State of the Art of ACE in Panama and social perception study on Climate Change in civil society in order to obtain a diagnosis of strengths and opportunities in the country.

ENACE

Development of the National Action Strategy for Climate Empowerment that includes an action plan and identification of pilot actions with a special focus on youth and indigenous communities.

Participation

Facilitation and dynamisation of the broad participatory process with civil society to co-design the National Climate Empowerment Strategy in the country through face-to-face workshops and innovative methodology.

Piloting of Actions

Implementation of actions that strengthen ENACE in Panama with a strategic and transformative character that addresses education and youth as priority agents in the adaptation and mitigation of Climate Change in the country.
