The projects of the Forests, Biodiversity and Ecosystems (BBE) sector of the EUROCLIMA1 program have generated significant achievements in terms of pilot experiences in sustainable forest and ecosystem management, adaptation to climate change, participatory governance systems and sustainable income generation for local populations. The study “Achievements and successes for scaling up experiences in the Forests, Biodiversity and Ecosystems sector” seeks to identify to what extent and under what conditions they could be replicated or scaled up.

La presente publicación contiene el resumen ejecutivo del Plan de Movilidad Urbana Sostenible (SUMP, por sus siglas en inglés) de Ambato, Ecuador. Este surge como resultado del convenio Marco de Cooperación entre el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado (GAD) Municpalidad de Ambato y el programa EUROCLIMA+ y GIZ como agencia implementadora.
This report presents intermediate results of a broader analysis of the economic responses to the COVID-19 crisis in the LAC region, and how the allocated investments can accelerate the economic recovery phase while meeting climate change goals. The report has been developed thanks to an investment tracking tool, the LAC Recovery Tracker, which analyses over 1,100 policies to provide a live snapshot on spending in the region. The LAC Recovery Tracker is a subset of the larger Global Recovery Observatory.i
Under the Contract signed between SURECO & Partners CORP (contractor) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) (contractor). The deliverable constitutes a report with the main findings, including a data tool in excel format with the results of the mapping exercise of private sector investments available for the climate and biodiversity of the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region in the sectors clean energy, water, transport, agriculture, forestry and other land uses (AFOLU), biodiversity and ecosystem-based solutions. This report was executed based mainly on publicly available secondary information.
Para garantizar la implementación de la Política Nacional de Movilidad Urbana Sostenible (PNMUS) del Ecuador, los Gobiernos Autónomos Descentralizados (GAD) deben tener la competencia para planificar el transporte urbano y su espacio público, de la mano de una planificación urbana coherente que priorice la sostenibilidad económica, social y medioambiental.
El presente proyecto se desarrolla en el contexto de la iniciativa Estrategia Nacional de Movilidad Sostenible y Programa Nacional de Movilidad Urbana para la Mitigación y Adaptación al Cambio Climático en Chile. Ambos instrumentos constituyen la Política Nacional de Movilidad Urbana Sostenible (NUMP, por sus siglas en inglés), que busca proveer de las bases conceptuales y directrices nacionales para una movilidad sostenible, así como desarrollar los instrumentos técnicos y financieros que permitan la materialización de los objetivos estratégicos trazados por la política de transporte.
