Development of Local Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans

Implementation period: June 2021 - July 2023

The specific objective of the action is to develop capacities for sustainable urban mobility planning in Argentinean municipal institutions. To this end, and in order for municipalities to develop local mobility plans (PMUs), it is considered to offer training to technical professionals, develop documents and guides that complement the knowledge tools and offer technical assistance to promote the development of their plans.

The training sessions are targeted at 20 medium-sized cities, while technical assistance will be offered to 10 cities that have participated in the first group of 20.

So far, the course on sustainable mobility planning has been completed with the 20 selected cities. The course offers not only the presentation of the concepts but also personalised support by the implementing organisation, the University of Buenos Aires.
