The event was co-organized and funded by the LEDS LAC Platform and the European Union through EUROCLIMA, and also supported by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Latin American Development Bank (CAF), the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN), the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

This time, the annual meeting of LEDS LAC was held jointly with the Latin American Carbon Forum 2016.

The workshop served as a networking space for government officials, international organizations, NGOs and other actors working in promoting compatible development climate to share experiences and best practices, identify common challenges, strengthen capacities and establishing collaboration links.
