Local governments of the area of influence of the Binational Platform of the Catamayo-Chira Basin from the countries of Ecuador and Peru, and partner institutions from France and Italy of the Binational

Risk Without Borders Project, are involved in the process and articulation of management actions in the transboundary Catamayo-Chira Basin.

Wednesday, November 18th, 2020. (Peru-Ecuador). In order to promote the exchange of experiences for international management in transboundary river basins, elements of analysis Ecuador - Peru - France and Italy, the Euroclima plus programme through the "Binational project for the reduction of the vulnerability of the population and their livelihoods, against threats of droughts and floods in border territories of Ecuador and Peru" or "Risk Management without Borders", will hold an international webinar tomorrow, Thursday, November 19, at 9:00 am Peru and Ecuador time; and 3:00 am France and Italy time.

The event is organised by the executing entities such as the Regional Government of Piura - Peru, the Provincial Government of Loja and the National Risk and Emergency Management Service - Zone 7 of Ecuador, in partnership with the European consortium of the Departement Meurthe et Moselle, L'observatoire des changements en Amérique Latine (Local), Departement L'Aude of France and the Province of Viterbo of Italy.

This international webinar called: "Experience exchanges for international management in transboundary river basins, elements of analysis Ecuador - Peru - France", seeks that the local governments of the area of influence of the Binational Platform of the Catamayo - Chira river basin of the countries of Ecuador and Peru, and partner institutions of France and Italy of the Binational Project Risk without Borders, get involved in the process and articulation of actions for Management in the transboundary Catamayo – Chira river basin.

It should be noted that the Watershed is a depression in the ground surrounded by highlands, in other words, it is the entire area drained by waters that at a certain point join and flow into another body of water.

In the event authorities, officials and various personalities from the countries of Ecuador, Peru, France and Italy, representatives of the Embassies, Foreign Ministries, Foreign Affairs, Provincial Prefecture of Loja, Regional Government of Piura, Local Governments, Councils of the water basins of Peru and Ecuador, among others will participate.
