The national workshop “Developing synergies between public and private sectors, policies and indicators of vulnerability and resilience, to support adaptation to climate change in the agriculture sector” was held on 24 and 25 October 2012 in the Meeting Room of the IICA Office in Uruguay.

As part of the seminar “Infrastructure for Climate Change”, the Latin American Development Bank (CAF) presented Geopolis, a network for the management and reduction of disaster risk. This network has been created to develop a comprehensive vision for the execution of infrastructure projects that facilitate social and economic growth in a sustainable way.

After a year and a half of work, the Colombian proposal for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), received preliminary approval at the Rio+20 Conference and should receive full approval next Friday when all the national leaders meet.

Around 60 representatives from various Latin American countries met in Tela, Honduras to share the main results of the actions carried out on climate change and water resources management in the framework of the regional cooperation between the European Union (EU) and Latin America through the EUROCLIMA programme and the RALCEA project.
