The project "Institutionalising Benefits Not Related to Carbon in climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies" will develop a series of virtual chats on the importance of forest protection and conservation.

Benefits not related to Carbon (BNRC) allow for the generation of socio-economic activities, the protection of environmental services, the establishment of bio-cultural relationships, and governance with a focus on the preservation of indigenous territories that allow for sustainable development.

In this context, it is very important to dialogue about BNRCs and their importance in local and indigenous communities. For this reason, through a series of virtual chats, the "Project to Institutionalise Benefits Not Related to Carbon in climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies", together with the Government of the Department of Santa Cruz and the Plurinational Authority of Mother Earth, are calling for dialogue and reflection on the problem of climate change, the BNRCs, and Bolivia's public policies on adaptation and mitigation.

The exchange will take place between experts, members of youth activist organisations and indigenous peoples.

The sessions will be broadcast live from the website for Apoyo Para el Campesino-Indígena del Oriente Boliviano (APCOB Bolivia)/Support to Indigenous Farmers of Eastern Bolivia  and the EUROCLIMA+ YouTube channel.
