"Resilient Food Production Sector Webinar Series continues "

Print
The series of virtual meetings for capacity building started in September 2019 and will be extended throughout 2020. The next webinar will be on
February 4 under the theme "Post COP25: Implications of COP25 for the agricultural sector".

From the perspective of the RFP sector, there are multiple potential links and synergies with the other sectors to achieve the countries' NDCs. The programme is generating valuable experiences with grants and technical assistance for 10 projects in the RFP sector, plus the complementary experiences of the projects in the other sectors, which touch on topics of common interest, such as water, soil and biodiversity management; prevention of hydrological risks; horizontal and vertical inter-institutional articulation for
integrating NDCs into sectoral or local development plans; financing mechanisms for climate-resilient family farming; or monitoring and reporting on adaptation.

This series of webinars facilitates intersectoral exchange among key programme actors to promote technical and methodological capacity building based on experiences generated by the programme through its technical assistance and in-country project grants.

It is primarily aimed at EUROCLIMA+ National Focal Points and their delegates and to representatives of organisations involved in the implementation of projects funded by the programme in
all sectors.

The next webinar will be held on February 4 and will address the implications of the COP25 results on Climate Change in the agricultural sector. The facilitation will be supported by specialists from the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA).
