Event will be organized by ECLAC as part of EUROCLIMA. It will be held on 14 and 15 July in coordination with the Government of Peru, through the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Environment. The workshop is also supported by the German Federal Government, through GIZ.
In order to learn more about the Peruvian experience in the insertion of climate change on public investment projects, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) organizes a workshop about Horizontal Cooperation Workshop on Public Policies.
This workshop is part of the activites of EUROCLIMA implemented by ECLAC. It seeks the exchange of successful experiences between Latin American countries and to promote South-South cooperation among the countries that take part of the Programme.
During a Regional Workshop called "Successful experiences addressing climate change in Latin America and program monitoring peer to peer", that took up place in February 2016 in Mexico City, the participants were very interested on the progress that Peru has had in linking climate change in their public investment policies. This event is a response to that interest.
The event is addressed to the focal points of the program and representatives of the governments of Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama and Uruguay linked to the issue of climate change and interested in learning more about the work being done by Peru on these issues.
