Today the Peruvian Presidency of COP20/CMP10, the incoming French Presidency of COP21/CMP11, the Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the UNFCCC Secretariat have confirmed their determination to work together this year to implement the Lima-Paris Action Agenda.

The Agenda, which was launched in Dec. 14th, 2014 (see joint declaration in annex) is intended to catalyze action on climate change by State and non-State actors, to contribute to the objective of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, to further increase ambition before 2020 and to support the 2015 agreement. Spokespersons for the four partners have indicated that details of their joint action will be communicated later this month.
