Economics of Climate Change: a Graphic Vision

The presentation of the report The Economics of Climate Change in Latin America and the Caribbean: a Graphic Vision will be held on Wednesday, December 13, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Celso Furtado conference room at ECLAC headquarters. The room is located at Av. Dag Hammarskjöld 3477, Vitacura, Santiago, Chile.

The European Commission, on behalf of the European Union, signs today five contracts for a total amount of €37 million for the implementation of the new regional programme in support of environmental sustainability and climate change mitigation and adaption in Latin America.

Brazil aims to reduce emissions by 37% by 2025, mostly through changes in its land use and energy sectors. Like in many emerging economies, however, funding to meet these targets remains a challenge. In February, a group of public and private investors met for the first time in Rio de Janeiro to tackle this issue.
